Where to mount a 6"x11" Oil Cooler?

I'm thinking that I'm going to need a better oil cooler than the OEM solution, so I'm looking at Canton coolers. They are affordable, and effective. The question I have is where could I mount the oil cooler to be effective.

Should I mount it behind the radiator and run long hoses under the car? This will be a PITA to drain during oil changes.

Should I mount it on the passenger side somewhere on the frame rails inside the A-arms?

Should I mount it high near on the holes in the tea tray?

    I'll be running either this cooler (15k BTU): http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/cgi ... key=23-500

    or this (20k BTU, but bigger): http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/cgi ... key=23-510

    small:

    big:

Will replace the OEM sandwich with this:

    Thanks for the advice!

Mine's off to the side. You could get the cooler and the mounting bracket from Tom. It's bolted to the frame using rivet nuts

You could get the old Brammo version that TMI now sells for pretty much the same thing on the driver's side of the car. It is located a little more inward

You get enough airflow that way? Goes outside, in? or just flowsdown the cooler, turbulently?

I did a TP test on mine with a GoPro camera and GPS in shot for speed. Flow is backward to about 40 mph, turbulent and then forward after 60. One of the reasons that I am going to design sidepods, ... eventually

It sticks out into air flow though there is probably a lot of turbulence by this point.

What about a simple AL air scoop on the cooler to force it to pull air while moving forward? Something like this:

I was thinking about how I could make a scoop. This is just stom heat gun bent acrylic I used to get a general shape. It could bolt to the unused side panel brackets. Never got any father though
