Its as FRS. its fun as hell. Many people say 200 hp isnt enough but its just perfect for me since I can stomp on the gas and not die instantly like in the Atom. 2700 lbs make it like 700lbs less than the Mini I had. Since it's rear wheel drive you can light up the rear tires (for about 10 feet or so). Add a little rain and drifts around corners going 25 mph. The only thing I like less than the Mini is the back seat is way too small. You could at least fit people in the back seat of the mini.

It does have a torque drop about 4000 rpm that is a pain in the ass. My theory is it is there to keep the kids from loosening up the back end when shifting WOT. Its like having a 1/2 second pause in power every shift.

The FRS is the Scion version of the BRZ,correct? I find it strange to see Toyota/Scion collaborating with Subaru on a sports car..but it seems to have worked out well. They use a Subie boxer engine (I believe I read that somewhere..) and I wonder what transmission, considering neither company markets a rwd..maybe they borrowed a Miata trans... It's a great looking car..kinda reminds me of a modern 240Z.
The power of an Atom is a terrible thing to waste! Atom owner/operator since 2007. The more you chase perfection, the faster it becomes. John Force for President! (I asked him once in person...he laughed)

The BRZ and FRS are pretty much identical. They are called "the twins." Subaru charges more and has NAV. The FRS was readily available and $3000 less so that's why I went with it. It is a little weird seeing subaru and toyota stamped over everything in the engine compartment. Its a 4 cylinder boxer engine. The transmission is by Aisin and similar to what is in the lexus ls apparently.

I just remembered I never followed up on these.

They work perfectly. I get the wind on my neck and forehead but my eyes are perfectly wind free. Driving down the highway with just my regular glasses is completely doable now. They are completely sturdy at highway speeds. My field of view is still looking over them so nothing is obstructed. So much better than the gun sights.

Thanks for the update Bolus. Its great to see a windshield alternative that not only works, but also looks good as well.

I'm with Silver on the factory windshield:

I'd rather have a heatsoaked sub200hp atom with a windshield then a 300whp one without.
