go ahead, I spent a good deal of time looking for hinges that might replicate the function and couldnt find anything good. Best I could find are some multiposition locking mounts that are used for gopro cameras. They would not look good through

I ended up ordering one of these to try it out. MRA X-Creen Tour. one of the universal ones. bigger than the sport model that was used in the other car. I ordered the smoke colored one. I should have it in a week.

Did you read what the owner wrote on the factory forum about the curved glass warping his line of sight?

that's why I ordered this one to test and Im not opposed to heating and flattening the center section. Im also going to use this to potentially show a heads up display as well. project!

well my HUD idea is out. The part is OBD2 compliant but does not work with CAN protocol so it does not work. Got to love car makers having a "standardized" OBDII interfaces and then making 20 different protocols because F-you, that's why.

Interestingly, I found out that I've been running without the ECU fuse in my car for who know's how long. I havent checked that fuse box in years and the fuse is just gone. I guess you dont need a ECU fuse to run the car.

Windshield should be here by the weekend.

I will be interested to hear how it fits. I get the worlds strangest shift knob next Tuesday and I can't wait to see if it is actually useful!
