Hehe, I can promise you that will never happen.Actually I ordered it with the side panels only so that I could later do them in carbon. I plan to remove them as soon as I get a license plate since I have to remove the headlights to do so and I don't want to mess with adjusting them to pass inspection. The other panels and covers are carbon wherever possible (as ordered), but I'd LOVE to get all the rest black done in carbon one day.
One thing that really disappoints me is there isn't even a hint of an aftermarket for this car. Sure I could change the gearshift, steering wheel, seats, belts and wheels. But as far as carbon fiber, it appears there's not a huge market for it. If I'm wrong though, please point me in the right direction.![]()
There are carbon fiber louvered front fenders if I ever get around to posting it.
Well having no body work kinda makes it hard to make carbon fiber parts for. I did see somewhere there are CF airfoil type suspension components similar to F1 cars for the Atom.
CF bonnet, intake cowls and front/rear trays are about the only parts that are available in CF besides the seats:

Sounds great Guy!Yes I need to get you over here to check this thing out hehe. I really wanted to wait until we could drive it though. The inspection is hopefully going to be complete soon. Having to work with Mark on getting some final paperwork together. So I'm still waiting on that. It's complicated.
And as it stands right now, I might just do a bond on it and get it over with. I'm utterly sick of just looking at it, I am DYING to drive it! lol
It's finally road legal!!!I took the paperwork to the DMV, and they are sending it to Raleigh to be reviewed and a title will be sent to me in the mail. That could take months they said. But the great news is that after showing them proof of insurance and paying the highway tax, I got my license plate and registration! I'm just now about to take it out for the first time officially and get some gas, since it's quite low from "end-of-the-road-runs". Woohoo!
Very cool
