    Greetings

    Hello,
I just joined this community. I live in Southern California (Orange County) and sadly to say I do not yet own an Atom. I am hoping to rectify this as soon as possible. A friend gave me the link to the infamous Jeremy Clarkson video and I have been hooked ever since. About three months ago I was lucky enough to get a ride with Jay Leno in his Ariel Atom which was incredible experience and solidified my addiction forever.

Lenos Atom looks stock and so...basic...simple...it is a nice looking early brammo unit. Wasn't it one of the first, if not "the" first Ecotecs?

    Sorry....welcome!
The power of an Atom is a terrible thing to waste! Atom owner/operator since 2007. The more you chase perfection, the faster it becomes. John Force for President! (I asked him once in person...he laughed)

Welcome, that's how many of us got hooked. Good luck on your search.
When I grow up I'm going to have a collection like Jay. I've got a good start and have a couple of the same cars.

Legend has it, I'm sure Terry can confirm/deny, Leno IS the reason we have the Ecotec.
AtomII #73 for sale, PM for details.

True that. I was told the story @ Brammo in Nov '05. (Thanks again Tom)

Another welcome to the world of Ariel Atoms. From firsthand experience we can confirm the validity of Jay's involvement with GM & Brammo on the creation of the Ecotec powered US Atom2s. Somewhat ironically, those GM Ecotec engines were produced in Germany whereas the American Honda K20Z4 & the current K24 engines exclusively used by TMI were/are primarily US sourced. Overall, we at TMI AutoTech have been able to continuously increase the domestic US content of the Atom 3 to 85+%. We think that it's very meaningful to be able to legitimately claim "Made in the USA" with any product these days.

The North American Atom 3 is now entering its 5th consecutive year of complete manufacturing & assembly by TMI AutoTech and the SRA version will soon be entering its 3rd year of production.

Thus far, 2013 has set a record for combined new Atom 3/SRA sales.

You can hear it from Craig Bramscher himself - skip to 3:30 in this video:

Thanks for sharing the Leno pic. That ride and tour of his garage must have been fun!
