    Atom Video - Ideas wanted

Hello Atom owners, enthusiasts…and we hope creative minds.

We(TMI Crew) want to make a video in North America that will be fun for all involved….and also create some entertaining video footage in the process.
The Atom has had some great videos to date….but we want to make another great one with the help of Atom owners (or Atom enthusiasts).

    Questions/thoughts/comments:
    - If anyone happens to be enrolled in film school and needs a project for film school give us a call….What better subject than the Ariel Atom….
    - If anyone happens to know someone who happens to be in film school and needs a project…tell them to give us a call. As above…the Atom is great content.
    - If you just love doing awesome stuff…and want to make awesome videos….give us a call

Bottom line is that we have many pieces of the puzzle to create some great content…but are looking for outside influence for ideas.
As it stands now we have a potential great venue (VIR Raceway) that has tracks, skid pads, etc…and we also have access to some Atoms. We are lacking on some production talent….story boarding….and likely editing Internally though we have the desire to have fun and enjoy the Atom a bit.

    Ideas:
    - The crazier the better – we are thinking iconic viral video vs performance test. Main criteria is that no animals are harmed during the filming.
    - Ken Block has done some nice stuff in his day....
    - We really cannot over look how great the first Atom appearance on Top Gear was….and how messed up Jeremy Clarkson’s face was!

Looking for ideas……At this point it is nothing more than that…but we want to push forward and hope that we can credit the Atom community for ideas, support, and maybe even somebody can get school project credit!

    Thanks in advance.

Feel free to post ideas here…..

I think something similar to this Koenigsegg series would be pretty cool:

Clarkson's face on the infamous Top Gear video caused me to seek out and do the Ariel Atom Experience at VIR, and that caused me to buy an Atom. While a walk around the factory would be cool, the sheer emotionalism and excitement you feel watching the Clarkson segment did it for me.

I'd suggest you set up an autocross course, or use a portion of VIR, starting with a nice, long straight, and then take 100 or so first-timers or wives for a ride as a passenger. Film their reactions during the ride, and immediately after while their adrenaline is still pumping. Guaranteed smiles, laughs, amazement, and maybe some fear. Some good editing, good driving, and Block-type action, and you'll have 1M views.

As another option, the more artsy way to go is a documentary style feature on the Spec Race Atom series and the drivers that participate. Why drive an Atom? It isn't rational, other than the fact that it is cool and just plain, unadulterated fun. I found the Urban Outlaw video featuring Magnus Walker, and his passion for the Porsche 911, to be compelling, and I know we have enough charismatic and dedicated Atom owners (Eddie Hill, Scott, Shinoo, Terry, Bolus, SRA drivers, TMI staff, and many others) to do something similar to capture the pure passion of building a car and driving for the sake of driving. See, Meet Magnus Walker, the world's most unlikely Porsche 911 collector

great video.. i like the idea... and spend time showing all the welding and CNC work and so forth.. all the riveting.. the chassis reinforcement.. the pedal box and steering box.. and how you set it up... and then at the end show all that work in action...

i think the most interesting part of the vehicle is all the hand work that goes into it... makes it very special knowing people spent their time actually building parts and designing parts versus a big conglomerate just doing something for profits sake and skipping steps to make more money.

While most of us love the tech stuff and will watch it, it will not make a video go viral. I love this crap so much I am trying to figure out how hard carbotanium layup is. It has to be something new and fresh and that is exactly why it is so hard. Something ludicrous like future archeologist's digging at Atomhenge and finding a working car and going from there .. cost too much. We can't destroy Jeremy's face again, so, something new

Koenigsegg video was very nice just not something that will go viral it does have a fair number of hits though.

and don't let YouTube talk you into the advertising, I stop there on a lot of videos

    Star Wars

I have always had this idea since I saw the video with a driver in an Ariel Atom wearing a DarthVader helmet.

I was thinking having two Ariel Atoms one painted black (like a TieFighter, add in the Empire symbols) and one painted white (like a rebel fighter, add in symbols for the Republic).

The black Atom driver would wear an Empire helmet and the white Atom driver would wear a Republic helmet.

After it has been established that they are Star Wars Space fighters, the Atoms would take off and start to race. Only, this race would not be just around the track. The whole time both the white and black Atoms would be trying to lock on or fire lasers at the other Atom. Add in the lasers and the lock on actions later. Front views, back views, and side views of both Atoms would be needed. Basically a dogfight of Star Wars Space fighters done with Ariel Atoms.
