There are Atom1s..Atom2s...a few Atom2 hybrids (with Atom3 side rails)...the Atom3s..the SRA series Atoms (all 3's) and numerous option packages for all series...but in the end,all Atoms share the same DNA: less is best...![]()
The power of an Atom is a terrible thing to waste! Atom owner/operator since 2007. The more you chase perfection, the faster it becomes. John Force for President! (I asked him once in person...he laughed)
A bit more on that...
Atom (often referred to as the Atom1) - Rover powered. Rare as rocking horse poop. You'll probably never ever see one in the metal, especially in the US.
Atom 2 - Honda powered. UK produced car. Only a few cars were made in the US with Honda motors.
Brammo Atom 2 (nicknamed IIB) - GM Ecotec powered. This was the US produced version of the Atom 2 made under license by Brammo Motors, Oregon. These are the most common US Atom 2. Now reasonable rare by overall production statistics. The Atom2 hybrids (Atom 2 with Atom 3 chassis) were a Brammo concoction in their final period of manufacturing.
Atom 3 - Honda powered. What you get if you order a new one. Available in the US from TMI.
Atom 3.5 - Honda powered. Announced in the UK, October 2012. Basically an Atom 3 with a tweaked (stiffer) chassis, a restyled bonnet, new digital LCD dashboard display with gear-shift lights, twin projector headlamps, and LED turn/stop/tail lights.
One thing to remember is that all Atoms are unique, regardless of model, simply by the way they are custom ordered.
