Way back in the Brammo days, I had the pleasure of riding along with a new owner at an autocross in weather like this.

    1. The Atom is tremendous amounts of fun on open tarmac in the wet.
    2. The front wheels perfectly deliver rooster-tailed water into the cockpit. Side panels help, but only a little.
    3. Yokohama A048's were good enough for FTD at this rainy Porsche event.

The longer mudguards / fenders, installed on cars built for wetter climates, help to stop that.

"Yokohama A048's were good enough for FTD at this rainy Porsche event." I'll need proof to ever believe that! Did all the other participants leave?
The power of an Atom is a terrible thing to waste! Atom owner/operator since 2007. The more you chase perfection, the faster it becomes. John Force for President! (I asked him once in person...he laughed)

No, but I'd suspect that the other participants were about as prepared for a rainy day as the average Californian driver is, which is to say, not at all.

The loose gravel that gets kicked into the tub does a great job of clogging the drain holes. I've had a lot more rain experience in the Atom than I'd like. Here are some samples:

Here's the video from that 3rd episode:
