Hello World (New Member to the Fourms)

Hi everyone. I'm Joe, living in the New England region of United States, with a love of electronics, mechanics and things infrastructure related (right now I'm pursuing a B.S in Electrical Engineering). I currently do not own an Ariel Atom, although my long term plans involve creating an officially sanctioned diesel variant with various parts inspired by Audi. From general browsing on the web, I could see the practically of implementing an LED array within the rear wing to provide better visibility (rear facing brake/ park lamps, turn signals and back up lamps, with a forward facing amber strip for park lamp/ turn signal indication), replacement of the lower lamps by a dual purpose (Fog/ DRL) angled LED array (in the style of the Mercedes E-class), and the use of the VW TDI engine ARL variant (from a tuners standpoint, the engine can safely be pushed from a stock 150hp to ~240hp).

Whenever I drive my V10 TDI I can't help but think about how much fun it would be without 6000lb to lug around. Then when I drive the Atom, gas mileage is the last thing on my mind. As much fun as it would be, I will keep the gas engine though.
