    Newbie from Sweden.

    Hi
My name is Fredrik and I live in Sweden's capital Stockholm.

I fell in love with Ariel Atom after I had seen Jeremy Clarkson at Topgear in early 2008.
    A month later I had ordered a new Ariel Atom 3 245hk
During the summer of 2008 I found out that there had been problems getting atom road legal here in sweden.
During the same time I was offered to buy a used Ariel Atom 2, 245 with plates.
I terminated the contract on the new AA3 and bought the used AA2.

Since then I've driven a total of 30000km, of which 25000km track.
I think I can contribute my knowledge in this forum.

I worn out and upgraded many parts of the car during this time such as Upright, bell cranks, puchrods, enrods, radiator and one gearbox, I have even blown a motor and rebuilt it with upgraded parts.

    Car info:
    Ariel Atom 2 UK
    2007
Turbocharged with about 385-420hk with a boost pressure of 0.85 bar.
    Custom Made rollbar.
    Custom Made rear wing mount.
    Rear wing April GTS-200 CF
    Dp rear upright
    Dp Bellcranks
    Stronger pushrod.
    Dymag wheels

Welcome Fredrik! How about some pictures of the car ...

Sounds like you like to modify, so, you will fit in fine here

välkommen! (hopefully the right spelling). If you have any pictures or details of your upgrades we'd love to hear them

Was this your car that had the blown motor?

    :-)

Yes it was perfect spelling and no it was not me who "fired up the engine" like that.
But I'm pretty sure you know who it is . He has ordered a new tuned engine k24 from the U.S. with lots of power.

I just melted down two piece pistons (1 +4) not so dramatically.

Sorry Bolus, I realized that you may not know who he is. I mixed you up with Calscots.

id say if you're going to be irresponsible with the atom, do it on a track by yourself and surely not on public roads.. kinda make the rest of us look bad.... i'd be pissed if i was one of those other guys on the track with you just screwing around on the track.
