2013 - Aussie V8 series goes to Texas

V8 SUPERCARS has unveiled the calendar for the 2013 V8 Supercars Championship. - 2013 V8 Supercar Calendar Announced

"There will be three international events. Pukekohe in New Zealand returns while the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, will debut in May. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix event is the third international component of the 2013 schedule."

May 17-19 | Texas 400 | Austin, Texas

Previously this has been a two marque contest between Ford (Ford Falcon) and GM (Holden Commodore). 2013 will see two additional makes in the line up, Nissan and Mercedes.

Yes, that's the same motor pictured at the announcement of Nissan entering the competition.

The racecar gets unveiled soon.

First test day of all four of the marques now contesting the series... Ford, Holden, Mercedes and Nissan. These are what will be coming to Texas in May.
